Toast’s Autumn/Winter 2011 collection

One of MyLuxe’s favourite sites in TOAST and we’re very excited about their new a/w collection.  TOAST’s women’s collection for autumn winter 2011 is, in essence, a simple, modern and grounded collection. A pureness prevails throughout the collection of winter staples, ‘proper’ fabrications and quality pieces with purpose and which have a usefulness in the winter months as our British climate cools.  This comprehensive approach to fashion is not however without interest or luxury.  The AW11 collection features stand out pieces such as the washed leather biker jacket, the boiled wool cape, the camel hair knit and the floral printed fine wool maxi dress.

The autumn collection launches with TOAST’s ‘Bicycle Thieves’ range, inspired by the nation’s current obsession with cycling.  The collection evokes images of chic bicycle riding city dwellers and provides pieces that are both stylish and practical. Warm autumnal shades feature among functional pieces such as an anorak made from the traditional British Millerain fabric, a Japanese inspired check shirt dress and the perfect riding boot are all highlights of this collection which is completed with a fairisle head wrap and leather bicycle accessories.

Strong, clean, shapes are identified in this season’s ‘Drape and Wrap’ story which works around the Japanese aesthetic of wrapping and layering. Heavy jersey features on maxi lengths with folded lengths, kimono styles and easy harem trousers. A tight colour palette keeps the focus on shape and is largely monochromatic with classic hues such as red and biscuit.
